Exclamation TV Link and Sky+ Help!

Basically need some help .... every room has an Aerial outlet which runs through the walls into a cupboard in the kitchen, I wanted to leave the sky+ box in that cupboard but the TVLink doesn't seem to work if I hook it up inbetween a wire going to the wall to the tv, the Sky shows up on the tv and works perfectly fine, but the tvlink doesn't light up i.e. no power. When I put the tvlink directly onto the back of the sky+ box the red light shows, when I stick the wire I use from the wall to the tv on the back of the sky+ box and the tvlink at the other end, the red light light's up. So I presume that the problem is that the wire in the wall doesnt carry the power to make the tvlink work? What can I do? Do I have to buy an amplified splitter? Or is there any other way to power the tvlink, maybe from a socket? Any ideas/solutions will be grateful Thanks!

If you haven't already done it, I believe you need to enable the RF2 from the STB and use that one.

Enable the power for the RF2? I've done that, hence the tvlink red light showing when i put it directly from the back. Thanks though.

You are correct something is blocking the DC feed from the Sky Box to the remote TV. Sometimes TV wall sockets have a series capacitor which will do this. You will have to remove some faceplates and check with a meter.
If you need an amplifier then its essential that you buy one that's compatible with the TV-Link as most of them will also block DC which defeats the object of the exercise.
