sky+ with multiroom both boxes not working

      Hi,
Please can anyone advise me??? e have had two sky+ boxes for just over a year I know this because I recieved a reminder for the insurance about two months ago, and stupidly didn't renew!
Since around three weeks ago my main box downstairs, just keeps going off, and you can't get it to come back on, if you try a reset by powering off it takes even longer to come back on, it will be fine for a while then off it goes, could this be hdd?
Then, we went to bed last night, and the one upstairs which has been fine, did the same, surely they both wouldn't go at the same time?? Someone said that updates from sky can cause this, if so is it worth me arguing it with them if the boxes are knacked? We pay enough every month! Please help!!

You forgot to include the make and model number from the label underneath. Also the age of the boxes.

When you write "off" do you mean "standby"?

The Hard Drive is a possibility. So is the power supply. Both easy to swap. The Hard Drive has quite a tough life and needs to be replaced every couple of years to ensure reliability.

      Everything Sky+
