      Thanks for the info Starman. I've only had the box about 3 months and recorded programmes tend to get watched and deleted within days so I'm not sure a defrag would help. The engineer is due shortly. Will report back what he says.

      With that symptom, your Digibox is definitely faulty.
      In cases like this, always try a reboot. If that doesn't help, inspect the power supply for bulging capacitors. Otherwise, send it for repair (or get a 90 day warranty replacement from Sky).
