sky+ to DVD Player
Sorry this may be silly,
but I have recently had sky+ installed and have forgotten about my dvd player.
The problem is I have buried the cables in the floor and have fitter new wooden floor and forgot to put a connection for the dvd player . Is there a way to send the singal from the dvd through the sky+ box to tv with out running a cable directly to the tv.
Sorry but lam a noob at this.

Re: sky+ to DVD Player
You can plug a scart lead from the DVD player into the VCR socket on the back of the Sky box, then if you put the Sky box in standby the DVD signal will go straight through and to the TV, but this wont give as good picture quality as having a direct component or HDMI signal connection from the DVD to the TV.

sky+ to dvd player
as I said earlier, I am new to this.
I should have explained how the sky is set up.
TV connected to Sky+ box by coax cable and phono leads.
The leads are buried in the floor and sky+ box in cupboard under the stairs so no cables are visible.
Thats the problem, the engineer who surveyed the job did not say I needed to use a cable to send signal from dvd to tv. Can this be done through the sky+ box.Last edited by richone54; 17-03-08 at 08:28 PM. Reason: Please keep posts in the same section

Re: sky+ to DVD Player
Only if the Sky box is connected to the TV with a scart lead.
