Sky +.Help required!!
Hi,
I'm new to the forum.
Had a quick look round, now need some help/advice!!
I have been offered a Sky+ box at a good price by a mate. He has only had it for 2 or 3 weeks and it was fitted as new. He has now decided (due to new telly) that he wants to get a Sky HD box.
Here are my questions:-
1:- Is the Sky+ box his to sell after only a couple of weeks or is it still the property of Sky for the first 12 months?
2:- If I bought the box would I be able to add it to my dads Sky account? He has already got a Sky+ box in the living room and a free to air Sky box in his study/spare room.He currently has a quad LNB on the Sat dish so I know I'll need to upgrade it to an octo lnb but once I've done that could I connect it and take advantage of multi room subscription rates?
Thanks in advance and sorry if these questions have been asked before!!

Re: Sky +.Help required!!
1) If he got it as part of a signup deal, he maybe subject to having it kept in his phone socket for 12 months.
Or if he bought it outright, ie paid in full, rather than as a new customer, I see no reason why you cannot do what you wish to.
If I bought the box would I be able to add it to my dads Sky account?
I've done that could I connect it and take advantage of multi room subscription rates?~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Sky +.Help required!!
depends on whether they are going to subsidise the price of his HD box for previously purchasing sky+
if they do then they will want it back, if not and he paid full price for it...its his and he can do as he likes with it

Re: Sky +.Help required!!
Spoke to Sky customer services earlier on and basically after putting me on hold for a couple of minutes the lady came back and said it's fine for him to sell it!!
He will get his HD box and I've got a cheap sky+ box!!
