Using Samsung PS42Q96HD remote to control Sky+

I have the above plasma TV which is aupplied with a programmable remote capable of controlling STBs, DVD players etc. Does anyone know what code I need to programme it to control my Sky+ box?

Using Sky Remote go to Interactive / Sky Customer Svce/H/light Sky remote/Select your Tv--Samsung /Select model number on List, then follow Menue and it should work Ok.

That shows you how to program your Sky remote to control your TV. I want to do it the opposite way; control my Sky+ box with my Samsung TV's remote. According to Samsung I need a code from Sky.
I have a feeling, having searched online for an answer, that Sky are reluctant to give this code for some reason.

You are right, i mis understood your requirements. I have a Samsung 37 inch LCD --I didn`t know you could control Sky from Samsung remote, if you can, I would be also interested, in how to do this.

Got a response from Sky

"I have checked with our Technical Support team and can confirm that your Samsung remote will not control your Sky+ box"

Not sure I quite believe that but, if it isn't right, I can't understand why they would be reluctant to give the relevant code.

I need the same question answered. I have a friend that uses their tv remote to control their sky hd box. There must be a way. Would get the info from my friend but they are not using a samsung tv.

Just got my Samsung plasma mounted today and was wondering the same thing. It lists 031 in the manual but this doesn't work

My Toshiba VCR remote will control my ordinary Sky STB (I can set the timer on the VCR to tape a specific Sky channel,say 106<Sky1> & change channel) but it wont work with my Sky+.
