Buy a Sky+ Box and set-up myself?
Since all the good deals for Sky+ boxes are finished, was wondering if I could purchase a Sky+ Box Used or New from a friend or say website like Ebay and set it up myself? If yes, what steps and procedures would I have to take to set it up? And wondering if anyone else here has done this method and does it work the same?
Thanks, Sean!

Re: Buy a Sky+ Box and set-up myself?
if you already have sky the hard part is done as you will have a dish alligned to the satelite.all you then need is a quad LNB to replace the normal one you have on the end of the dish, and run another cable from the LNB to the box as sky+ needs 2 feeds.then you phone sky to pair your viewing card to your new box.
you can then if you wish run another cable from the new quad LNB(so called cos its got 4 outputs) to your old box say in the bedroom then get a freesat card for the freesat channels upstairs.
if you have somesort of sky subscription then the sky+ features will be free.if not it will cost £10 a month.
