SKY+ Playback issue via scart

I have a SKY+ box that when I playback any recordings on my 42" plasma screen they always start to break up after a couple of minutes. This ONLY happens when I playback via the Scart, the same playback via a lesser quality UHF connection is fine.
Anyone got any clues? Is the box faulty or is it the plasma?
Do I need to get a replacement box?

Sky+ set to output via RGB but PAL has same outcome!

Have you tried another scart lead? What about trying the VCR scart instead of the TV output and also try a different scart input on TV if there is one spare.

Do you have any other sources (DVD, VCR etc) and do they suffer the same problem?

I had similar on my plasma, fixed as soon as I used the other scart port (as in not the RGB one), but I've not tried it after finding out my box wasn't using the RGB options - d'oh!

Been through so many combinations but worth a try again I suppose!

But if the SKY+ box was outputting RGB how would I be able to watch a few minutes just fine before the break up occurs. Surely if the cables were PAL and the Plasma was expecting PAL it wouldn't work from the start. Further if it was PAL from the SKY+, through the SCART and into the PLASMA it should work? It doesn't! I will however go away and try a number of combinations, new cables, different output from SKY+, different input to PLASMA.

OK update

I have tried a high quality scart lead from both sky+ outlets and both plasma scart inputs, no change, the picture still flickers between colour and b&w.

This only happens on recorded programes not current live tv!

So I also tried s-vhs and composite output - all the same result.
The only way to watch recordings without the flicker is via the UHF output.

This looks more like a Sky+ box error than a cable or input issue.
Weirder because the playback and live are perfectly OK on UHF and playback also OK on UHF!

Any ideas? Or is time for a call out?
