I am after getting SKY+, I rang sky and they informed me that the max cable that an installer would put in is 50ft.
To get a phone line to where my tv is means a cable going round the outside of my house, well over 50ft.
If i pay £30 for installation and the installer says he wont do the wiring cos its too far, where would i stand? Could I claim it back? Can I order SKY+ with no installation until an engineer says yes or no?
I heard a story that SKY would charge me more if a phone line isnt fitted? Does it need a phone line?

Re: 50ft max
Sorry, are you on about the installer fitting a phone cable?
I think you would have to do that part yourself.
As for the coax for the Satellite connection, I may be wrong but you can pay extra for the extra cable. iirc
As for the phone line, yes the Sky+ box calls home, however people are reporting that you can pay extra to not have this condition. Again iirc approx £25~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~
