Stick your dad's postcode in here to find details of local authorised Sky independant retailers.
(NB Some of the info may be way out of date)
It might also be worth an email to Cheshire Digital as a few people have been reporting success at getting the £79 deal regardless of where they live due to reciprocal arrangements they have with other installers.Last edited by youravinalarrrf; 19-11-07 at 07:20 PM.

Re: Sky+ for christmas
Just another query...If I do end up buying a used box from somewhere that is possibly 6 months to a year old what problems might I have...is this sky anytime thing worth paying the extra £50 to get the newest pace box for or not?
Also, Is upgrading a sky+ hard drive alike a pc's? Just find one of the same format and stick it in there?
thanks!

As with anything electrical buying second hand could be buying yourself a heap of trouble. You're unlikely to find anything second hand less than 12 months old for sale at a reasonable price. By the same token you could strike lucky and have years of trouble free use.
Personally Anytime is a load of crap but each to their own. It's early days and unless Sky improves the content drastically more and more users will just simply turn it off. It's OK for those with the full movies package.
Upgrading the hard drive is pretty straight forward although it obviously makes any warranty invalid.

Re: Sky+ for christmas
lol yes, I have just noticed I can get sky to install it and give me a new box for a total of £130 (via the box upgrade button in mysky) I may just do that to save some hassle...now just to call sky's horrid customer service to ask if they will hold back my viewing cards assignment to the new box :|
