sky+ general question

does sky+ require a new vieiwing card if you are upgrading from the standard sky box?

I would have thought so but only after you contact sky and tell them your viewing card number along with your new box number and it should work. Otherwise I am not quite sure how Sky would charge people the £10 per month Sky+ subscription if your not subscribed to a sky package.

well i thought there was no monthly fees

doesnt matter though as i just learnt from sky that the boxes have went from £99 to £150, a complete ripoff :P

mine didnt need a new card.
was only fitted 2 weeks ago and the installer just used the old card which is about 8 years old.
