      Changing The Batteries

Before I start I want to say, I am good with machines. I write programs, I design websites and I build computers.

So now that my badly bruised ego is out of the way. How do I change the batteries on a sky plus remote?

I recently switched to Sky from cable. On cable I just popped the battery compartment off, but with this remote, I can push, pull, move up, move down and the thing wont move!

Is there some trick, some magic word? How can I change this?

Reddkryten, currently changing channels by pushing the button on the box a few hundred times.

OK, I am holding my Sky + remote in my hand.
Turn it upside down and hold the upper half of the body firmly in your left hand.
with your other hand push the release catch up, towards the top of the case, and pull the cover off vertically (i.e. at 90 deg to the body).
Remember to change the batteries within a minute to avoid having to reprogramme it.
      Hope this helps.

      Re: Changing The Batteries

I remember when i first changed mine, it took me all of 2 days before lo and behold the missus did it.( i think accidently though she says otherwise) . On a positive note at least it keeps the batteries very secure
