can i use my old skybox as freeview?
i have recently upgraded to sky+ and i was wanting freeview for my daughters bedroom so i was wondering if their is some way to use the old box as a freeview box,i have plugged the sky box in but i cannot get it to work i have taken the viewing card from the sky+ to the old box but nothing seems to happen apart from it displaying no signal,any help would be appreciated

I assume you are trying to plug the sky box in through the aerial? Sky does not have a receiver for the aerial connection, it must have a cable to the satellite dish. If you can run (or have run) a cable from the satellite dish to the box then you could get sky to provide a "free satellite" viewing card.
Or you could get multiroom which for £10 a month will provde all of the channels you get on your main sky box to the one in your daughters bedroom (you may have to pay for installation).

hi ithompson72 cheers for the reply,i think i may aswell sell the box for a few pounds and buy a freeview box,it seems less hassle,thanks anyway.

i am trying to use an old sky box that i have as my latest one is faulty,i have tried to tune the box in so that i could change my card over to it.The problem is that i can only get the first 9 chanels to tune in.any sugestions please
