Got a pack today informing me that as a new customer I would have a fortnight of unrestricted access to ALL SKY channels inc movies, premium etc.

If I record the films can I watch them at anytime afterwards I wonder, or do they become locked off aafter the fortnight?

you can only watch recorded progs if you are subscribed to the channel at time of viewing.

In fact you can record any program even if you dont subscribe.

So by implication I may be able to watch a recorded prog - but possibly not, and definitely not after the fortnight has passed - I know, you want to give me a definite maybe ;-))

they will be locked at least the ones the subs have expired on.

but you can save them to a dvd recorder before the subs expire and they will last on that.

On experimenting I recorded a movie in this freebie period and watched it later - so it works fine for now. Probably after the 2 weeks it will be locked, but that's fine as I am not desperate to watch movies.

It definitely gets locked after the trial period so record anything you want over onto DVD / HDD if you want to keep it. I had the same free period a month or so ago and recorded some stuff on Sky Sports. I watched it before it ran out but left it on the Sky+ box to see what would happen and the day after it all expired I just got the "please contact Sky to subscribe" type message.
