2nd Hand Sky+ Boxes - In Breach of Contract?

      alright guys,

on friday we got the basic sky tv box installed, but now we've all suddenly decided that we wanna get sky+ instead.

if we were to just buy a second hand sky+ box on ebay or something, would we be in breach of our contract even if we were to replace it with our current thomson one but keep it connected to the telephone line all the time?

      thanks,

      chris

If you want to use the Sky + functions you will need a quad LNB and two feeds to your Sky + box. You will also need to ring Sky to get it activated.
Why don't you try ringing Sky and see if they will upgrade your box.
There is a refer a friend offer going round at the moment which gives new customers a free Sky+ box.

I just got a free sky+ box of a mate from work and they switched on Sky+ straight away, no problem (I've had sky for a good few years).

I had a look on ebay but the boxes were going for more than Sky were charging

Phone up Sky and see what you can get.

      Phil
