      SKY+ box HD defrag

      Hi,

      Just wondered, given that the recording medium in the box is an HD, is there some kind of internal mechansim the equivalent of the normal 'defrag'?

      Just a quick google came up with these

      Sky+ information

      Sky+ tip of the week - PVR Wire

      Both have defrag info - though i dont know what the reprecussions are? (i am no expert!)

      Many thanks for the info - incidentally - sorry for the change of topic - but if I put the box into standy-by will it still spring to life and record planned programmes, or does it have to be fully on to do this?

      I leave my stanard Sky+ box on standby and i still records, so i recon yours will too :-)
