      Failed recording - start missed!

      We had Sky+ installed about 6 weeks ago, when we have recorded stuff using the planner, occaisionally we get the message for a 'failed recording'. the reason being 'start missed' - Consulting the manual suggests that this can occur when recordings overlap - fair enough - I think that has been the cause of a couple of the occurances, however, we had a recording from Friday evening that it happened on and there was nothing else set to record!

      Any ideas why this might have happened?
      Does Anytime only update in the middle of the night? and could this have any bearing on it?

      It's the Thompson PVR3 and it was brand new, the engineer did a full software download when it was installed.

      It's got me stumped - I just hope it's not the first signs of something bigger!!

      Afaik, The Anytime content comes through overnight and I think only uses one feed so another programme should still record utilizing the second.

      We have only had about 3 Failed Recordings on ours and we have had it for ages.
