Moving Sky+ Box...

Basically at the moment my Second Sky+ box in the bedroom is on top of a wooden sideboard at the end of the bed, on Thursday my new 40" LCD will arrive to replace the current 26" leaving no room for the Sky+.

The only easy option i have is to relocate the box into the wooden sideboard and removing the back panel to allow air to escape from the rear, now the questions.

1) Will there be enough ventilation?
2) Will the remote work or will i have to keep the door open to change channel?

Any help appreciated.

I have had that type of set up before and 'yes' the remote signal got through the *glass* door. I also removed the back to increase ventilation..... however it did run way hotter than normal and I took it back out of the cabinet as I wasn't comfortable that it would survive.
