July's account statement
I received my statement from Sky and it showed £10 for Sky+. This worried me as on the 1st July I changed my subsription to the Basic package of £21 PM as the Sky+ is now free.
I contacted Sky who, after a ten minute call confirmed that this was a typing mistake!! I should have worked it out myself but just panicked and called them.
Has anyone else had this on their statement as the conspiracy side of me is telling me that this is deliberate, as Sky are losing money from people changing their package so they get you to call them and make money out of the call.

Re: July's account statement
I just checked my statement as well and I have no idea what the billing department thought they were doing.
I got Sky+ activated on 29th June, so a day early.
Sky have billed me for sky+ from 29th June to 5th July - £2.33
They have also billed from 6th July to the 22nd July - £5.48
The bill then says 23rd July to 5th August - £0.00, as its supposed to
Then 6th August to 5th September - £0.00, back to my original billing date
A quick call to customer services fixed it, or so I thought. Having checked my account again the person I spoke to has credited £7.48 not £7.81.
Not sure if I can be bothered to ring up to be credited 33p. Probably cost more in phone calls and time.

Re: July's account statement
Same sort of thing here.
Got Sky+ and Multiroom on 2nd July.
Account shows:
2/7/07-5/7/07 £1.33
6/7/07-22/7/07 £5.48
from 23/7/07 onwards it shows £0.00.
I haven't rang them yet but, i will

Re: July's account statement
Just checked my bill (up to 7 July) and it's the same as it's been for months. I called to cancel the sport/movies around that date in July so I guess the new figures will be on the next bill????
big bob,
How did you find what the next payments would be ?
The 6/7/07-22/7/07 and the 23/7/07 parts?

Re: July's account statement
Sky still have me down @ £17 for Sky Connect, yet I have never actually had it. I had Connect for a few months for £5 before switching to Sky Max.... they routinely get this wrong every month. I have received refunds for previous months where they got it wrong, yet it STILL shows up on the statement every month. I shouldn't have to ring them every month to get refunded... it should show as £10 not £17. The last majir thing that is frustrating me about Sky is their billing, every other problem I ahve had has been sortd out, at long last!

Re: July's account statement
I got Sky+ and multiroom installed on 2/7/07.
Received a letter from them showing a breakdown of charges and telling me what my new monthly payment will be. The dates i quoted in my post are exactly as what was in the letter. It was quite confusing at first as there were items refunded then charged for again further down the page.
When i checked my account on the Sky website it doesn't show the same breakdown of charges as the letter did.
In the end Sky have addmitted a mistake and have cancelled the Sky+ charges.

Re: July's account statement
Hi Folks,
I have recently taken up Sky’s “see-speak-surf” package. Can anybody advise on how to access billing & account details on Sky.com web; NOT on the SkySee TV screen ?
Thanks & Regards,
tandt

Hi
http://www.sky.com/portal/site/skycom/mysky
Use the username and password they gave you in the letter.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: July's account statement
This is a known issue and you should get a letter out confirming this and a credit applied on to your account automatically, this is not a conspiracy, why does everyone always think that sky are running conspiracies its totally laughable but anyway, the problm has now been resolved you should see the credit on your next statement. oh and sky makes very very little out of a phone call from their customers and heres also the reason why sky dont have an 0800 number, 0800 numbers cost the company 3ppm times tht by the number of calls sky gets in a week or even a day and yip you got it higher package pricing mindyou unline virgin media, skys tech support and customer service ARE NOT premium rate numbers,
glad ive had my moan.Last edited by the_Sky_Man; 23-08-07 at 02:27 AM.
