      Is my Sky+ on the way out?

      We are having all manner of problems;

      1. When we record something the 'info' for the recorded program sometimes shows the program above it in the list

      2. Some programs that are recorded ages ago just refuse to play - We have to delete them

      3. A new one - Series link used to be fine, but now it simply says 'searching' when looking for next weeks' program to record - We then have to set them to record manually

      I have turned the 'autorewind' thing off (which has made no difference) - and even reset the whole thing (as recommended by sky - loosing everything we had on the planner - wife wasn't happy!)

      One last thing - How long should the 'rebuild planner' option from the Service menu take - I left it 3 hours - to be honest I don't think it was doing anything, other than saying 'Housekeeping' on the screen.

      I rebooted in the end!

      Any help would be greatly recieved.

      Which version of the Sky+ is it that you have - If you know?

      How long have you had this box for?

      Have you done a complete installer reinstall, Try 'Services 4 0 1 Select' and do a full system reset.

      It is an 80gb Pace TDS470N - We have had it about 18 months or so.

      As I said, Sky told us to do the full system reset - That is when we lost everything from the planner - Didn't make any difference at all.

      In fact, the series link issue has only happened since then, but I guessed that was just a coincidence.

      you could try forcing a software update. Power off at the mains, then hold down the back up button on the front of the box and power up again. When the message that the software download is taking place, you can let go of the back up button.

      mines about a month old and tapes a show but then 1/2 way through starts again on another recording - weird!

      I have given that a go - will feedback my findings. Thanks for the advice
