Loss of live pause and instant rewind on Sky+
My older Amstrad Sky+ box upstairs has developed a pause/rewind issue.
If I press pause, the II symbol comes up on the screen but the programme continues to play. Also if I press rewind on a live prog the x2 symbol comes up but (as before) the prog continues. The recorded programmes rewind and pause fine.
Will a planner rebuild help?? or is it the dreaded Full System reset!!!
Or possibly something to do with the card, as one thread I've seen the OP mentioned it was something to do with the card???
I could ring Sky but I'm guessing they will say they've never heard of the problem before and it will cost me £65 to fix it.

Unplug the box then power up again - that should fix it although it may need a planner rebuild too. No need for a full system reset in my experience.

Re: Loss of live pause and instant rewind on Sky+
I had the rewind issue with a box of mine a while back. Not sure if it's the same thing - but there was a setting that had somehow lost it's way that gives the ammount of time you CAN rewind something... can't remember off the top of my head what it's called, but that had become 0minutes somehow.

Re: Loss of live pause and instant rewind on Sky+
i had lost pause and rewind on my PACE sky+ box. rewind dispalyed x2 but nothing happened, also had pause icon with no paused picture. it wasnt the instant rewind setting.
i unplugged my box for 30 secs. it took about a minute to reboot and once the red light changed to green, all was as good as new!
just thought i'd share this.
