      Pace TDS470N Picture Quality

I had a Pace box installed last Friday, replacing my panasonic sky box (which is now upstairs). It functions perfectly, but the picture quality is worse that the old panasonic box. It's most noticeable on text, e.g. the Sky Guide, which is much less clear and suffers from a shimmering effect.

I noticed it immediately when it was installed, but the installer said these boxes tend to suffer from crosstalk. Sounds like bs to me.

Can anybody offer any useful info before I ring up and complain?

On that score, I've seen a few references to a '90 day reinstall' - what is this and should I go for it?

      Any help appreciated
      Ian

      Re: Pace TDS470N Picture Quality

Is the Sky+ box set to RGB or PAL output (you ideally want RGB)?

Is the SCART connection on your TV RGB enabled and did the Sky installer use the same TV input/connection as your old Panasonic box (some TV's do not enable the RGB on all of the SCART connections).

Have you "wiggled" the SCART leads both on the Sky+ box and the TV?

Thanks spcdust: tried all your suggestions, and checked everything RGB is better than PAL (it was on PAL), but still not so good as the old panasonic box.
