Re: Free standard Sky Box + installation aswell?!
Had this come through the post yesterday too. There were two "vouchers" that have been passed on to family & friends. Neither been ordered yet, but I'll make sure they have my account details when they call.

CONFIRMED DEAL: Sky+ box & Digibox & installation all free!
Managed to sign up today and get the deal on the IAF offer I was hoping for
:
free Sky+ box
free standard Digibox
free installation for both (told it includes 20 metres of cabling)
Being installed Tuesday, can't wait...
Tried to get me to take Sky Talk and Broadband too but declined both. I'm happy with my current telephone provider (TalkTalk) and I commented that Sky BB was not reliable enough for me to be interested just yet(will review when the new router comes out
)

Re: Free Sky+ Box
@Edwardw, There doesnt seem to be any "Existing Customer" deals, The only ones who will usually get something are those who are out of the 12 Month contract, If you are in the 12 Months its no budge - You gotta live with it..
Outisde you can usually get a price reduction on the ammount you pay per month by speaking to the PAT (Program Advisory and Turnaround/Cancellations).

Re: Free Sky+ Box
You can at times weedle stuff out of Sky if you upgrade, got the Sky HD installed today and my Sky+ box moved to the multiroom in the bedroom and as I was upgrading instead of 2 lots of installations (£120) my wife asked nicely and got free install on the whole lot.
You just have to ask nicely and beaver away at them.

Re: Free Sky+ Box
Hello,
I'm a new member on skyuser, the comments on this thread alone have prompted me to join Sky.
I placed my order by phone today using the promotional code and was assured I was going to get a free sky+ box with free installation. I only had to pay a £20 activation for the broadband service not the £40 stated by murdock, they also threw in a new BB router. I then went ahead giving my mates details with permission who has had sky for a while now.
The offer is appearing really good, I hope the service lives up to it. I cancelled my Virgin media subscription earlier this month partly because of the withdrawal of Sky one and partly because they seemed expensive compared to Virgin. However I was with NTL/virgin for nearly 4 years and the service itself was very good throughout this period.
I'll let you guys know how it goes

Re: Free Sky+ Box
I think the offer is only to new sky customers so I doubt it. The offer seemed so good to be true.
I've got to tell you guys that I thought I'd been conned an hour after going through with transaction yesterday when I thought the 08703 360 159 number was not a sky number after it didnt appear on the sky webby.
My heart was racing. I thought about cancelling my credit card I paid with. Then I rang the CS number on skys site which confirmed the number did indeed belong Sky so they told me not to worry.
I must be watching too much Hustle, love that show BTW, if it was a con it would have been a very elaborate one, involving posting of fake offers on this forum with a fake number to ring to a fake sky call centre and getting hold of peoples credit card details. BUT IT WASNT A CON, so I can finally breathe

Thanks for posting this. Just signed up. They weren't fussed about my friend's details, so I skipped that bit
