Help Moving Sky+ box
I had sky+ installed recently and everything works fine. The only thing is it's installed on a far side of the room on a shelf it doesn't even fit on properly. What I'd like to do is move it inside a cabinet, along with te DVD, xbox360 etc ... so everything including most of the cabling is hidden away.
The only this is the cables fro mthe Dish are only just long enough for where it is currently positioned.
How easy is it to extend these cables ... only about 3m or so .... can you just buy them in a store or do you need to get the sky engineer ($$$) over?

Hiya MikeMan
This looks like what you need mate Click Here
Don't forget to tick to include the threaded "F" Barrel to join the cables

Re: Help Moving Sky+ box
The only problems I have ever had with my Sky+ is due to it getting too warm. It used to sit on top of the HD/DVD recorder (I cannot find the glass shelf for my video cabinet anywhere after it was removed for a while) and would get too warm requiring a call to Customer Servs with the error code etc to get it sorted. Just be aware to make sure you leave a decent airgap underneath it.

Re: Help Moving Sky+ box
I have used plastic nuts from an old electricy junction box to raise the sky+ box. It sits on top of my video recorder with the nuts going over the pads that Sky supply for the + box feet and then the nuts sit on washer s(stops the vibration noise). Other alternatives are door stoppers.
All from your local hardware store. The nuts are the cleanest and best option with them being plastic and grey - to go with the box. I think they are nuts from an electricity junction box kit.
