    Sky + Planner wiped for the 3rd time!

      Unhappy Sky + Planner wiped for the 3rd time!

      Hello - anybody else had their planner just wipe off? We had to unplug the phone line for an hour today and when plug back in - we went back to the tv to watch and the play rewind & record functions would not work and planner wiped. Sky Made me do a full system rebuild instead of trying a planner rebuild first.

      Any body else suffered this problem and will this happen everytime after unplugging the phoneline then re-connecting? I cant see how this would have affected the planner but hey ho.... they may not be getting my money for much longer!

      The planner acting like that is not the fault of you unplugging the phoneline.

      Recently sky have run a few system checks and updates to PVR3's and HD boxes. Some boxes are acting up with the new software, but is being resolved.

      It is like any new software for hardware, in most cases there is no problem. But sometimes there is.

      Yeah i didnt think so. Thing is you come to rely on it so much to series link things like 24 and Lost and Heroes then you miss a few episodes from loosing the planner and then dont bother to pick it up again. we have lost loads od cool stuff and just makes you think oh way the F do i bother?!

      Do people actually keep there Sky Boxes connected to phone sockets who arent in the first 12 months of there contract?

      No 'cos I had a thunderstorm year before last and it blew the modem in the sky box, so I only connect to phone line when I really need to (which is never).

      yep ! my planner was wiped.. or should I say, was unavailable and had to do a system restore !!
