      USB Socket

      Hi,
I have had some problems with my whole system lately.
      1. Sky dish moved in the winds, engineer came out and realigned it and replaced the LNB.
      2. Second box upstairs, the picture started rolling, engineer came out and replaced the box.
      3. Sky+ box had a serious system fault, hard drive failure. Engineer came out and replaced the box with a different version.
Now my question - My old box did not have a USB socket on the front, this one does, whats it for?

      Re: USB Socket

      No,
Apparently its double the size of my old box though with a 40gb HD. It was a brand new one as well.
I cant fault Sky's service in the 3 instances i have had considering all the equipment is out of warranty as well!!

      Re: USB Socket

Have a butchers round the back - you might find another one there too.

Apparently they are not enabled at the moment, the front one will be for transferring recorded video and audio to portable media devices, and the back one for connecting external hard drives to increase capacity.
