      Sky viewing card problem

      Hi,

      So I left sky 2 years ago and after a year of freesat, I decide to resign up. I still have the old box and everything set up, so sky send me out a new card for the standard sky box and when I put it in it says..

      "Please insert your old Sky viewing card
      Wait for five minutes then replace with new Sky viewing card"

      So I did that and It did not work, I rang sky who activated my card and then I waited 5 minutes and it didn't work.

      Can anyone help please?

      No, customer services are the only ones who can help. You will need to ring and tell them any error messages you are getting.
      The only thing I would try is to force a call back.
      There is no p in Thomson.

      If you have been off for more than 12 months, you should have signed in as a new customer and got all the perks.

      Not when they tried to charge me 45 for a new box and call out charges.

      Rang them up again and they are sending me a new card out and they emailed head office, hopefully this sorts it.

      If you join on line without the HD pack you get a Sky+HD box for 49 plus free set up, plus a 50 MS voucher. This means they are paying you a pound to join up. You have probably burnt your boats now and will be classed as an existing customer.
