when will I get my new card?

I'm wondering how many of you Sky users have already received your new card, and if maybe ours has been lost in the mail (like a lot of our mail).

Mine arrived on Monday. I received an 'on-screen' message (over the satellite) from Sky the day before saying it had been posted.

Sky have to supply 10 million customers and all with the correct details on them, it's a pretty big job to get through.

As said above the box will come up with an on screen message when it has gone out and will happily bug you until the new one gets put into the box.

Just recieved my new card. Apologies if it's been asked before, but what is the reason Sky are replacing everyone's viewing cards? Does it add any new features or is it just to combat piracy?

It is a requirement that Sky change their viewing cards at certain intervals to reduce piracy, cannot remember who ordered them to do this but it has been delayed for a couple of years due to the encryption Sky use being very good with no serious breaches.
