when will I get my new card?

i got one but havent a clue what to do with it, the guy who installed my system put mine in! I cant even remember where it is... the interactive card slot or another one?

I daren't touch it incase I lost all my channels or something as there's something I want to watch later! Can anyone give me clear instructions how to remove old one, and replace? what menu's i need to be in, buttons to press etc?

My box is white and says sky+

hi all you need to do is find where your old card is dont use the interactive card slot i dont know what would happen but sky tell you not to do this you whatever box you have the card slot can be anywhere or if there is a flap on the box the card will be behind this also you will not lose any of the channels you are subscribe too but if you dont replace the card you eventually will lose your channels. The reason for new veiwing cards are generally for security reasons also your pin will remain the same as it was with your old card. all you need to do is replace the old card with the new one you must make sure your box is not in stanby mode you will then get an on screen message telling you that the card changeover is in progress after this is done it will tell you that the card changeover is complete then press backup to continue your veiwing you must have it switched on while the card changeover is in progress. if my instructions are too much of a mouthful you will find some instructions that the card is attached too.

I hope it doesnt ask me for my pin I'm hopeless at remembering stuff like that, trying to remember where I put the bit of paper that had my pin on it.. lol!

I got the on screen message yesterday so should have in by the end of the week...

A related question... The card currently works in my Sky+ box in the front room.. I also have a spare panasonic in the bedroom (whole different story) and when I use that card in the Panasonic it works.. Once the new card gets installed in the Sky+ box can I continue to use the old card in the Panasonic?? Or do sky deactivate the card??

Still waiting for card 3 weeks on.. ..absolutely disgusted with Sky atm
