Satellite reception problem
A couple of days ago I lost my SKY tv reception. At first I thought the signal was being blocked by a large crane on a nearby construction site. In the "services" area under 7 I found that I had some stations listed and could in fact view these. This I assumed meant I had a signal (as confirmed by the strength showing on the signal meter).
On screen I get the message FOR YOUR INFORMATION 18 - no satellite signal is being received. I canīt find reference to this on SKYīs home pages. The fact that I have manually stored some 30+ stations means that I have a satellite signal.
Does anyone have any bright ideas? I thought it might be about the new viewing cards but I have no message on screen to insert new card.
Help gratefully received.
Thanks

Re: Satellite reception problem
Yes, tried all of that. Through the internet I found the frequency codes for most of the channels I use and loaded them manually through "add channels" but for others where I couldnīt find a code it still reads "no satellite signal is being received" which is not true as I have some 30 manually installed channels!! Guess a call to SKY tomorrow is called for

Re: Satellite reception problem
In sheer desperation unplugged every lead to all tv, video and satellite box and left off for 3 minutes - hey presto!!!! It didnīt work simply shutting off the satllite box. Ah well a lesson learned and all OK but need to tell SKY of change of address to ensure that I get the new card when they isses them.
