This isn't peculiar to Sky.
When I had my house insurance renewal from Saga I visited a
comparison site. (From a link at www.Moneysavingexpert.com ).
I saved over £300 by moving to The AA.
When I spoke to Saga they said, "sorry we can't match that because some
companies give special deals to get new customers".
My AA documents show that the contents part of the policy is underwritten by....
SAGA.

Re: Am very fed up with skys unfair pricing
Suppose some of that cost is offset by the amount of new subscribers and there monthly subs . I still think Murdoch is a shrewd business man, after all you cant have broadband without the tv service

Hi Max2thous10
Can I ask. Did you ask if there was any deals on at the time because if you
don`t ask you don`t get. I always ask I don`t always get, But what the heck
everyone likes to think they are getting a bargain. Sky. TV. BB.Talk. What
other provider can match that none.

Re: Am very fed up with skys unfair pricing
Steve you havent voted yet. I did ask if they could match the SkyWorld 1/2 price deal they told me only for 3 months . I havent had round two with them yet as they wanted me to consider taking up sky phones and a higher broadband cost first. I will remember too ask but I guess there wasnt much else the customer service chap could offer when skys policy's are like every other company pointed out on here. Funny though its ironic that the nationwide bank has realised this to be bad working practise Now let me think did they get a pay out from the goverment I think they where one of the ones that didnt I wonder why. PS I dont bank with them .

Ok reddwarfcrew newsreader-2 I know some of you guys and ladies are moderators but please vote to as if you would accept this in your own home.
Consider this is it fair for bloke/miss 1 me and you to pay differant to block/miss 2 for the same services jus becuase block/miss/2 has nerver used the service before. Hmm
Then consider. You cant have anytime PC with Sky live streaming if youve never had it yet. if you have had multi room with a set in another room you can experiance two screens then you can isnt this a contradisction to skys policy.Last edited by Max2thous10; 03-01-09 at 12:19 AM.

Re: Am very fed up with skys unfair pricing
Hi
The option I would choose is not there. At the end of the day, I pay the going rate, its my choice to pay this or not - If Sky were to overstep the mark on pricing, then I would just cancel or reduce my subscriptions.
Sky is a luxury not a desirable, and as long as people can afford that luxury, Sky are laughing all the way to the Leeds.
New customers always get a discount, like I said, I got one when I signed up years ago.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~
