It makes no difference if you think I work for Sky or not - if you read my post, I said the majority of problems we have are software related, not (generally) training or knowledge problems - in the main, disagreeing with the original post.

I'm just here to provide a bit of perspective and advice on how stuff actually happens, why would anyone lie about something like that? There's nothing to be gained

edit: to clarify, it is provisioning, an outsourced department at Sky who are on 8 an hour; certainly not kids, and the majority do everything they can for customers. I haven't got a clue on pay rates outside of provisioning

Removed some posts from this thread, so it might not all make sense now.

like mine for asking if he actually worked at SKy? Weird one that don't you think?
I removed it as it had a quote from a previous post and would not have made sense, never mind I have put it back there now and edited it as the quote link would not have taken you to that post, as it has been removed.

if your on 8 your at Richmond mate, that said apart from the minority of muppets who normally get identified and encouraged to leave most people do they're best to try and resolve issues as much as they can with what they have. But what would you say to a customer who you know has a problem that wont (probally) be resolved for months? "We are working on this issue and someone will contact you as soon as we can provide more information" isn't a lie, it just kinda avoids having the majority of calls turning into screaming folks; screaming will not fix your problem it just causes good agents to leave whilst the crap ones dont really care. Write your letters to complain, fax customer services .. but leave order status alone, we cant fix it by pressing the magic button folks think they have.

My mistake, a typo. Provisioning front office agents, supervisors and tier 3 agents are all on 6 an hour

Re: The truth from the inside.

its true. besides, the starting rate is 6.50 an hour, and thats for anyone that works in the Sky callcentres, so no-one is ever on 6

but in all seriousness, the only time your gonna be on 6.50 is if you've just started (first 6 months) or your really bad at your job and dont get a pay rise.
