Today Sky 1 caught the proverbial bouquet, as it celebrated the news that the brand new season of Donít Tell the Bride will air on Sky 1 from summer 2016. Get set for more outrageous stag antics, bridal fashion fails and pushy bridesmaids aplenty as more intrepid grooms set out to plan the perfect wedding for their anxious brides-to-be.

Commissioned from Renegade Pictures (a Warner Bros Television Production UK Ltd company) the team behind the much-loved previous seasons, Donít Tell the Bride will air next summer, bolstering Sky 1ís line-up of fresh and modern entertainment for all the family. The two-series run, with 24 episodes, will be pacier in format, with action building quickly to the much-anticipated bridal gown reveal and drama of the big day. Fans can expect the usual traditions along the way: bad budgeting, hideous hen-dos, the odd disgruntled mother of the bride and a healthy dose of bridal bling to satisfy even the most die-hard Donít Tell the Bride fans.

Donít Tell the Bride is the latest show to be added to the Sky 1 line-up for 2016, joining thrilling new dramas such as The Five and Agatha Raisin, comedy series Stella and the latest from national treasure Karl Pilkington, as well as a stand-out existing line-up of shows including; Bring the Noise, Fungus the Bogeyman, The Muppets, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and A League of their Own.

Commenting on the commission, Adam MacDonald, Director of Sky 1, said: ďCharting wedding dramas for nigh on a decade, Donít Tell the Bride is best in class family-friendly entertainment and a British TV institution to boot! Many of our customers are already huge fans of the show so weíre delighted to be giving the brand-new series a home on Sky 1.Ē

Sarah May, executive producer, Renegade Pictures, said: ďWeíre thrilled Sky 1 will be the new home of Donít Tell the Bride. Iíve been part of this show since the very first episode, and itís the dreams and expectations of the young couple brave enough to take on the Donít Tell the Bride challenge that really makes this series what it is, and will continue to be the foundation of the show as it moves to Sky.Ē

Recruitment for new couples to take on the Donít Tell the Bride challenge early next year is already under way - interested parties can visit the Renegade Pictures production website to apply. International broadcast rights to Donít Tell the Bride will be sold by DRG.
