Free International Calls to 10 countries

Hi there. Went to my grandad's house yday, and there was a letter from SKY TALK.

They say that from the 20th Dec u can call 10 [popular] international countries for free as part of the 5 talk package.

Countries include US/CANADA [landline and mobile], and 8 other countries to landline only.

I dont know if this has been discussed before, but my question is, to dial to these countries, would u need to dial a prefix, [like talktalk's 18418 or something like that], or is it just a direct dial?

from the small print [from the link above]:

*UK calls do not include calls to mobiles, the Channel Islands, non-geographic and premium rate numbers e.g. those starting with 08, 09 and 118. ‘Free’, ‘unlimited’ and ‘no charge’ calls last
up to an hour, after which 0.8p per minute rates apply for UK calls and Sky Talk standard international rates apply for international calls, or you can hang up and redial as often as you like.
**Unlimited international landline calls to USA, Ireland, Spain, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, Italy and Netherlands (also includes calls to international mobiles in Canada
      and the USA)
      .
Sky Talk Sales and Marketing Code of Practice can be found at sky.com/skytalk. Information correct at time of going to print – xx December 2006.

Instead of paying Sky 5/month for UK 01/02 calls and calls to 10 countries, you might be better off with the Euphony euTalk+18 CPS package for UK 01/02 calls and calls to landlines in 28 countries*!

For the first 6 months, there's a 4.99 reduction in the monthly fee but afterwards it's 5.99/month (99p more than Sky but you get 18 more countries).

      * For the information of pinechap, that includes Switzerland!

      EDIT 12:10PM 13-12-06.

Error above (wrongly stating Sky Talk only gives E&W UK 01/02 calls) corrected.
