I've been getting the same here today. Definitely on SVBN (dial 17070 and get Zoe).

So I just called 150 and the (Scottish lady) operative tells me that you have to subscribe to Sky 1571 Voicemail (for 1.75 per month) - which I don't - to have Sky Talk Shield!

That wasn't mentioned in the press release, was it? Or is this just "a load of flannel"?

Sky support drives you mad sometimes.
Been using this service for a while now and I'm on PAYT and have no voicemail option.

      The only thing that I know around voicemail is this;

What if I don’t have Sky Voicemail?
If you don’t have Sky Voicemail, you won’t have the option to send the caller to your Sky Voicemail inbox.
If you have a non-Sky Voicemail service or answering machine then we advise that your recorded greeting should be at least 20 seconds long to avoid interference from the Sky Talk Shield menu.

All sorted by a second call to somebody (also a Scottish lady) who knew what to do (albeit it was the first time she'd activated Sky Talk Shield for a customer) and also told me that what the previous person had told me was in deed nonsense.

Make sure to do the feedback survey and put comments about the earlier advisors mis-information so it is looked into.

If it's a "Number Withheld" call, then Talk Shield will screen the call as normal, but you can then STAR the call and anytime in the future it will let that specific Number Withheld call through without screening. This is very useful for hospitals, etc. who often withhold their number, and is a major improvement over Truecall.

However, if it's a "Number Unavailable" call, then you can't STAR or BLOCK it.

      Hello All
Well, system seems to be working OK No unsavoury calls so far but next week will be a true test thankfully
we are not home during the day .......
but on return from work the phone log normally has around six-seven calls
from various Slugs trying to sell something or other.
I have always been Ex Directory & had TPS for years So how they get the number I don't know ...but they do.
anyway, Hopefully a result at Last............& Free.......???

Just a Thought......Off to Cut the Grass !!!!!
