Re: 12 months up front line rental - renewing!!!

In the interests of fair reporting I would like to report my Line Advance problems have now been sorted out. My Line advance was due to run out on the 1st Oct and so I renewed on the 30th Sept. But I kept getting monthly line rental charges for Oct, Now and Dec. After several phones calls and promises to resolve it this has now been fixed. There was a problem with my line advance being rejected due to a pending price rise or something, not mentioned at the time of renewal I might add!!! It has now been re-applied from the to run from the end of November and all my monthly line rental payments have been refunded.

Sky have withdrawn the 12 month advance line rental line rental offer as of the 19th December.
Just in case anyone was looking to get it soon.

      Any rationale behind this?

Re: 12 months up front line rental - renewing!!!

Just to add, it took Sky over 3 months to get my 12 month upfront line rental sorted!!! But at last I got the monthly line rentals refunded, but what a carry on!!

Maybe they have dropped it because they cannot manage it correctly!!!

Or they are thinking of a better way, maybe online, to implement renewing the line rental upfront!

I too have been informed today that the offer has been removed for both new and existing customers from the 19th Dec. I'm glad Ive found out in advance as I am due to renew in Feb. I hope they get their systems sorted so as to re-introduce it as I'm not looking forward to the hike off 6 p/m I'll be paying next year. I was lucky when I set up mine over the phone. No issues from the get go billing wise.

If other suppliers continue to offer this 'perk' Sky will have to bring it back in some form or they will loose custom.
