Those pesky 08?? numbers
I'v signed up for SkyTalk and will have it from the 18th, however I find it bizarre that you cannot call Sky without incurring extra charges. Even moreso when the queue at Sky is often 20 minutes plus...or where they aware of that and thought this would help increase trade contribution between brands. Wonder if any budding MBA's have this as a case study.
I've sent Sky an e-mail to clarify this....hope they respond before my bb activation date as seems like e-mail might not work either then! What was that strap line?"Its Good To Hold". Even better to Answer might be suitable riposte!

I have Sky Talk now for a month and have had a significant increase in cold calling - are Sky allowed to pass your name number to third partied as it's too much of a coincidence. When with BT it was very rare to get any such calls.

Dont think skytalk pass on details but you can register with Telephone Preference Service and have your details removed
regarding 0870 calls daytime 8p eve 4p weekends 2p
0845 daytime 4p eve and weekends 1p all rounded to nearest penny
have used service for approx 12 months no problems other than no billing one month but was carried forward to next again month.

0870 numbers - 7.91p/min weekdays, 3.95p/min evenings and 1½p/min weekends;
0845 numbers - 3.95p/min weekdays, 1p/min evenings and 1p/min weekends.
I'd advise anyone with a BT landline and using Sky Talk as their CPS provider to get into the habit of using the 1280 prefix for all their 0845 and 0870 calls because, as can be seen, BT is normally cheaper.
BT prices for BT Together customers are:
0870 numbers - 3p connection and 7p/min weekdays, 3½p/min evenings and 1½p/min weekends;
0845 numbers - 3p connection and 3p/min weekdays, 1p/min evenings and ½p/min weekends.
