      Text message on Sky

      I have a Gigaset C300 phone, which IS text compatible. However, I am unable to make SMS texts or receive text based SMS. I have Sky and tried calling BT but they told me to call Sky. Sky told me that text is not offered through them and suggest me to call BT.

      Sky Talk does not support SMS unfortunately, so if you have Sky Phone rental you are out of luck I'm afraid.

      I had use text with Sky. I swap phones and the text faciility went poof.

      Sorry, when I enquired some time ago I was informed it was not supported. I must look into it again, but to be honest getting charged 10p+ for an SMS will not be too popular when phone calls are free. Although it is cheaper than calling a mobile which is not free.

      Have you checked your manual?

      Yeah I did but Gigaset is no help. I don't know where to place the settings. The default settings that came with the phone did not work

      You might need to register the phone. I have found this is done by sending a text to 00000 with the word register
