Sky Talk: Changes to 1571 Voicemail | 03 October 2012

"We have changed the way we provide your voicemail service. Now, in the event your Sky Voicemail is not accessed for a period of 90 days, it may be automatically cancelled. This change has been made so we can continue to offer our voicemail service free of charge to customers who want it, and avoid incurring unnecessary costs supplying a service to customers who do not use it. Donít worry, if your voicemail is removed, you can restore it at any time by calling 08442411818 at no extra charge."

      This isn't so wise.

Many people may not know that it has been removed and may not know until someone can't leave a message in 3 months.

That seems a bit pointless? If it costs nothing to re-activate, how can it cost anything more if it's not been used?

Scrap my last post, if somebody doesn't access the voicemail in 90 days, too me, it would be pretty obvious that they do not use it right? People have answers machines still right? They could also contact users via postal mail to tell them of Talk changes.

It would make more sense if it was not enabled automatically. Then no one would have it enabled who didn't want it. I personally never use it as I prefer my answer phone, which tells me there is a message waiting without having to lift the phone to check.

how can it cost anything more if it's not been used?
They still have to have that lady standing by to take your message, even if she does nothing

It can be useful to have it.

If you are on a call and someone else calls during it, they can leave a message.
