      Considering skytalk

I would be grateful if someone could answer these questions to help me make my mind up.

Would I keep using my existing telephones or do sky provide them?

Are 0870 & 0845 numbers free as per BT's unlimited service?

      Deadman?

I will be one day, but not yet!

What about having my own phone? Am I forced to use one supplied by Sky as per the old days with BT?

      Re: Considering skytalk

The days when your call provider forced you to use your own phone are long gone. You are free to use whichever telephone handset you like.

If you are looking to get a new handset, I would recommend something with 'Caller Display' as Sky provide this FOC. Also DECT phones are quite good these days.

BTW: Some long standing BT Retail customers are still being charged rental on their telephones.

      Re: Considering skytalk

Happy about being able to use my own phones.

I have just purchased a very nice set of 5 dect phones which work and sound very nice.

I read in one post on here a possible reference to having a phone supplied by sky and wasn't sure if this had to be the case.

      dog-man, not Deadman.
