When the voice service is unbundled, you'd lose any existing ADSL service as your line is physically disconnected from the previous provider's dslam/msan.
So SKY have just unbundled my exchange 3 months or so ago with OLD equipment then? is that what your saying? just doesnt make sense. Iam online right now with o2 LLu and SKY phone..as are many other people on SKY H&S Forums

BT Line Test with 1 for callback -> so does this mean Iam not on with Sky Phone yet then? or does it mean they have unbundled my exchange with old equipment?

Re: How do I know my line is SKY and not BT...?

...just too add, my Track order Online tracker has always said Monday 20th for phone line (no activation date for broadband).. we got letter over a week later saying broadband should be up & running on tuesday 21st, then we got letter after that saying phone line will be Tuesday 21st - so im unsure as too which one I should believe..? could well be Iam still online with BT right now and both are going over today (which would make sense to do them both on same day) - and the online checker has not been adjusted to reflect the changes and automatically says your sky services are online once the date has passed?

I would seriously not worry about this at all.

If I dial 17070 i get 'BT Line Test Facility' on my line, yet I am on Sky's broadband & Sky Talk.

      Hi Scubbie,

not worried at all, I understand how it works (I will still get my 16Mbps broadband), Iam just trying to verify that SKY have then unbundled my exchange with old equipment OR IF iam not online with SKY for phone yet. as my previous post explains I have SKY telling me 2 different dates, im more inclined to believe the letters as they seem to make more sense

      so
am i with SKY phone? if so..why have they unbundled my exchange with old EasyNet equipment?
or, am i not and both go over today as per letters?

Re: How do I know my line is SKY and not BT...?

I have previously verified that I am on Sky's Broadband kit, not EasyNet.

My phone definitely goes through to Sky's telephone service and I do not deal with BT at all.

The only miner issue I have is that I can't get my line uncapped above 20mb.

Hopefully by the time I get the chance to get an FTTC (or perhaps FTTP ) connection Sky will be using 80/20 or faster connection speeds.

If you were on Full Metal Path Scubbie you would get Zoe, who incidentally seems to have a trans-Atlantic accent.
