Adding Sky Talk when already on Sky Broadband Unlimited
I have Sky Broadband Unlimited and pay BT for my line rental.
My broadband is connected to the easynet LLU equipment at the exchange. I am getting 13-15 meg download depending on which router I use!
However when I try to add Sky Talk I get the following:
"You are outside of our network but we can still offer you a great Sky Broadband product and free evening and weekend UK# calls with Sky Broadband Connect and Sky Talk.
Estimated Access Line Speed: 1.9Mbps - 7.3Mbps
At present we are unable to provide our Sky Broadband Everyday Lite or Unlimited products on your number; we can, however, offer you Sky Broadband Connect, which is available in your area right now, with up to 8Mb* download speeds and a monthly usage allowance of 40GB, perfect for everyday browsing, email, downloading music and movies."
Does that mean that the sky broadcom based equipment is FULL?
So if I were to add sky line rental, I would be removed from the Easynet LLU, put on Sky Connect broadband and be put on Sky Talk Unlimited?
Because this is what is happening in the basket when I try and upgrade:
Sky Broadband Connect £17 Monthly
Talk Unlimited £5 Monthly
Sky Line Rental £12.25 Monthly
I am stumped!!

I would give Sky a call instead. It sounds like manual intervention is required.

Re: Adding Sky Talk when already on Sky Broadband Unlimited
I'ev emailed Sky with all the details.
I take it that normally I would be moved onto the fully unbundled broadcom based LLU service if taking out Sky line rental?
BT are also upgrading to FTTC next year at my exchange so I wonder if Sky will offer something similar? If not then sky will lose a lot of customers to BT!

Re: Adding Sky Talk when already on Sky Broadband Unlimited
It really depends on what they do. I wouldn't know for sure and besides they can always make exceptions.
As for FTTC & FTTP - When Sky eventually decides to let people know what they are doing, then perhaps we can discuss this further.

Try signing up here instead of on the 'bundle' page.

Re: Adding Sky Talk when already on Sky Broadband Unlimited
I get the following:
"Based on the information you have given us, this product is not available on your line. Please continue with your order or return to the Quick Buy page to try a different number in our landline checker. "
"You already have Sky Broadband, if you want to upgrade your service online, your available options are displayed below. Unfortunately we are currently unable to provide you with Sky Talk products, as it appears your landline may have a service that is incompatible with Sky Talk. "
This is when I log in as an existing customer when prompted after adding to my basket!

Re: Adding Sky Talk when already on Sky Broadband Unlimited
It looks like there is a glitch on the site which thinks you are trying to sign up for Broadband, which it can't do as you already have it. You could try restarting your PC or clear your Temp internet folder , just in case something in the cache is stopping it.

Re: Adding Sky Talk when already on Sky Broadband Unlimited
It is telling me I already have sky broadband which is correct but keeps on displaying that my line is incompatible!
I have used ccleaner, switched my pc off and tried again.
Looks like it is a glitch in their system
I am not surprised because the whole sky web site needs a good overall as there are too many pages that try and do the same thing!
If I popped down to my local exchange would someone know what equipment sky have in?
To me that seems the best way as when I have asked sky whether they have the unbundled broadcom LLU equipment as well as the easynet, they don't know!!!

Re: Adding Sky Talk when already on Sky Broadband Unlimited
Just give Sky a call and see if someone can do it over the telephone.
Obviously the Sky website can't handle it.

Your current phone line is not compatible with Sky Broadband and Talk. To take Sky Broadband and Talk, please use our address checker to see if you can also order a compatible Sky Talk phone line.
