      Moving home and transferring Sky telephone line

      My niece has a Sky telephone line and talk and is moving. She has apparently been told by sky it takes up to 3 weeks to transfer the line to the new property (it's on the same exchange) and that they can not keep their current number.

      Does this sound right?

      Hi moleman,

      It is unusual for the Sky Talk & Broadband to take that length of time to cancel down I would suggest that your niece contact us so this can be looked into again.

      With regards to her losing her number this is unfortunately correct and would be supplied with a new telephone number.

      Many thanks for the answer.

      Not being able to take your number with you when you move is another good reason for staying with BT for the phone line.
