Due to have new line installed but turned old line on

We are new to sky and was due to have a new phone installed last week as that is what we wanted but for some reason they turned on the line that we all ready had in our home but we never used it as the line goes into our bedroom(it was like that when we moved in) so why didn't they just fit a new line like we asked them to do?

So due to this we can't have our sky box connected to our phone line now as the phoneline is too far from box.

It is BT who do the work installing lines etc but they would never run in a second line, unless you paid for two.

You would have to speak to Sky and see if they could arrange for the current line to be re-located, although there may be a charge for this. On the otherhand, it is simple to do yourself as an extension.
