      Currently issues in the Ramsgate and Broadstairs area

      We’re very sorry for the service issues some of our Sky Broadband and Sky Talk customers areexperiencing in the Broadstairs and Ramsgate areas. This has resulted from a faulty Openreach cablewhich has taken down parts of the Sky Broadband and Sky Talk network. Openreach are working onfixing this as a matter of urgency and we’re in constant communication with them. We hope thatservices are restored as quickly as possible, although we cannot confirm timings at the moment, asOpenreach do need to dig up sections of road to repair the cable. We thank you for yourpatience.
      We are working with Openreach to resolve this issue which is affecting Sky Broadband and Talkservices for about 6000 customers in the Ramsgate and Broadstairs exchange areas and will postfurther updates as soon as they are available.

      Update on Broadstairs and Ramsgate exchange outages

      We have been advised that this evening Openreach will be repairing the damaged cable that caused this week’s outage in the Broadstairs and Ramsgate exchange areas.

      Openreach have been provided a window of between 8pm and midnight for the work to take place. To complete the repair they will first need to cut the cable that provides Sky phone and broadband services, this will result in an outage of up to 40 minutes for all customers. Unfortunately they have been unable to provide an exact time when the outage will occur

      If you lose your internet connection or phone dial tone this evening it’s very likely to be caused by this outage, so please bear with us.

      We will be in constant communication with Openreach while conducting this work and will keep you informed of any updates.

      We’re very sorry for the inconvenience our customers in Broadstairs and Ramsgate have experienced over the last few days.
