      I've used it for years. Does exactly what it says. Good value if you make International calls to the specified destinations and/or lots of peak time landline calls to standard numbers.

      You probably have Sky Talk Unlimited, like me. I think this is a different/new package, for one thing. it says there is a 7p connection charge on all calls. ATM I don't pay any connection charge on any of the included free calls. I will have to check my account, if they are going to charge 7p to connect local calls, I am off back to BT.

      VERY good point. As I've not received ANY notification from Sky that my 5/month 'free' calls package has undergone a VERY major change I'm assuming this doesn't apply to me. If it does then why should I pay 5/month to be charged a minimum of 7p/call. I'm very pleased I avoided the switch to Sky's own network and can switch back to BT without a problem.

      Anyone have any more information on this?

      Re: Sky Talk 24 International

      The following info from Sky's Tariff Guide should set your mind at rest.

      "Subscription Price
      Sky Talk Freetime is free and Sky Talk Unlimited subscription is 5 per month.

      Connection Fee
      The connection fee for non-inclusive calls is 9.9p, unless a separate connection fee or minimum fee is specified. Connection fees do not apply to;

      Free evening and weekend calls for Sky Talk Freetime customers to UK# landlines
      Unlimited calls for Sky Talk Unlimited customers to UK1 landlines and 20 international landline destinations at any anytime."

      Re: Sky Talk 24 International

      Thanks for that. What we want to know is if Sky intend changing Sky Talk Unlimited to Sky Talk 24/7 International? There does not seem to be much reason for taking the 24/7 packages, unless you make a lot of calls to countries not on the Unlimited list, it is not nearly as good as the Unlimited..

      Ian.
      I have Sky TV and Sky talk and was on Sky Talk freetime until Nov 3rd. When I came to know of Sky talk 24/7 international, I called up Sky and asked them to move me to this tariff and it was done then and there. I have seen my bills since then and yes, the tariff is exactly as advertised.

      I know that some may find 7p connection charge a bit of a stealth but then I weighed it against the fact that I am getting unlimited length calls to India for just 7p and that made it a very good deal for me.

      I would not be surprised if Sky introduced this 'International' package to draw in users who communicate with India, Pakistan and the East European countries on a regular basis. As you point out it is a big saving, as these countries were not included in the '20 free countries' in the Unlimited package.
