      Please read...still no sky talk or broadband!

      Hi there Guys

      Just wanted to share my experience with you all regarding sky...

      joined the 16th of july...sky+hd, sky talk unlimited, and broadband everyday light..

      its now the 30th of september...I STILL DO NOT HAVE SKY TALK OR BROADBAND!

      to add insult to inury, it will not be connected until mid november...

      I S*** YOU NOT...

      "it will take 10-14 days to transfer your number over from virgin"

      the next time i ring

      "it will take 30 days to cancel the wrong number we took from virgin, then 2 weeks before the transfer of the right number goes through, then 2 weeks after that becomes active to set your broadband up"

      does the time frame always reset everytime I ring up?

      Im sure some of you know what im going through, im so far into it now, its just easier to carry on, then to back out and cancel everything...

      but I will say this....compensation is coming my way in a big big way...Im determined to fight this all the way...


      so its ok for them to take my money, but not provide a service?

      I dont think so trading standards...

      I may even go to watchdog!

      anyone had compensation from sky? was it an insult?

      please do tell

      Credit from Sky for mishaps is rather easy. I'm only familiar with credit for customers who have been awaiting a tech support solution, but I'm sure it'd be the same for provisioning issues. Basically, whatever dept. you've been dealing with (I assume provisioning) just call through to account management and give them the run-down on how long you've been without service, as opposed to when it should have went active. As long as there are adequate notes/evidence on Sky's systems to back up the loss of service, then credit can be added.

      thanks for your reply. as a disgruntled customer, I want to refuse credit.

      they have taken money off me, for a non existent service, therefore, I WANT my money back.

      seems pretty straightforward to me, wouldnt you agree?

      dont mean to sound an a%%, but its frustrating, almost six months before the sky talk and boradband is installed? thats taking the mick, you must agree.

      if it is credit...im expecting 6 months worth of sky with all the movie channels for free!

      Of course it's taking the mick - that's plain obvious to anyone. Once you're all up and running, call through and see what account management can do for you. Not that you should have to, but if you kick up enough fuss I'm sure they'll be able to give you a good enough deal to satisfy the annoyance.

      if you know of any other posts similar to mine, please point me in the right direction, would be interested to see who else is in a similar situation, and vice versa
