      Re: phone line

First off, unplug every single device connected to any telephone socket being used (including phones, filters, tv, splitters, broadband etc.). Then you're going to want to plug a preferably corded phone directly into the test socket (link below explains how to plug into the test socket).

How to test your ADSL in the Master Socket

      The outcome will be either:

      - Dial tone present in the test socket. You're looking at an internal wiring or equipment fault.
      - Still no dial tone. At this point, try another phone if possible or at least confirm your phone is definitely working. If so, then contact sky and after a few tests, the fault will be logged to Openreach.
