      Who to contact regarding noise on my line

      I have just plugged my phone into my master socket and noticed a quite crackle on the line.

      The current config for my home is the external line comes into a junction box. There is then a cable connected to a BT master socket.

      If I want the line repairing or upgrading to eliminate the noise, do I contact sky or, just BT directly as its still their equipment?

      That depends on who you pay for line rental.
      If its Sky then you need to contact them initially and they will have to escalate things to Openreach.
      If its BT then go straight to them.

      Edit - just noticed you arnt on Sky so substitute sky for your isp if thats who you pay your line rental to.

      As suggested, it depends who you're paying line rental to.

      If BT, then ring BT faults dept. on 0800 800151
      If sky, then Sky on 0844 2410515. If you're WLR, then the WLR team will get the fault sorted or if you're on SVBN, then SVBN will sort you out.
