      Two homes

I am currently moving between two homes with frequency. Both homes have a Sky dish and one has a standard Sky Box.

I do not wish to purchase 2 subscriptions as one home will always be locked up and “offline” when I am in the other.

Can I move the box with card between the two addresses? Unfortunately, neither house has a current Sky subscription so I anticipate a telephone connection in both homes would be needed when using the service. Does this alter the position. We do not use the interactive services which require use of the phone line, at least to our knowledge e.g. we do not book films, vote by way of dial ups or anything like that.

Is the position altered if the house without a box acquired a Sky+ box with or without HD?

Any help would be gratefully received.

If you dont have multiroom then theres no reason why you cant just move the box with card with you. You will just have to plug it into the phone line at the property where the box is registered to. The important factor here is not having multiroom you can have any single type of SKY box without issue providing you have the right number of satellite feeds for it.
I would imagine though if you plugged the box into the phone line at both properties then they may not like it.

Thanks for that but your answer does seem to be yes but no. Multiroom is not the issue what I need to know is to what extent would Sky object? Would they raise the issue with me and cut me off or just let matters res? After all once a year had gone by I do not think I have to have the telephone line. By the way. what is the line for if you don't book specials or vote or whatever? Can anybody help please?

      Re: Two homes

As I stated provided you plug it into the phone line at **ONE** residence then it wont be an issue, if you dont have multiroom it doesnt have to be plugged into the line for in reality any longer than the first day after the install. I havent had mine plugged in since it was installed and they havent had an issue with it.
